Meaningful Gifts for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is coming…really soon!! It is time to order what you need for the special people in your life {or forward this email for suggestions 😉 }

Moms like pretty things. Sure, we can all use practical things, but pretty things and things that improve our life are always nice.

I will share some of my favorite things with you today:

Coupon Book:

Make a special booklet or individual coupons for things you can do for your Mom ~ take her out to eat, grocery shop for her, clean a room for her, help with her garden…do things she may want done but doesn’t feel like doing them or have the time to do. Moms never get too old for coupon books. 🙂

Special Things List:

A special card with a handwritten note and maybe a list of why your Mom is special to you would mean the world to your mom or special lady in your life. It would be a true keepsake.

Journal:

I like a pretty journal. Keeping a journal is a nice way to record what is going on in your life and family. It is also a good way to look back at the blessings in your life.

Books:

I love to give and get books! Although my reading time is not as much as it used to be. Right now, there is a neat way to get lots of ebooks and resources very cheaply. You can even share with several people! There are books on homemaking, parenting, education, holidays, health and fitness, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, organizing and more. Very cool gift!!

Outside Things:

Does your mom like the outside? Is there a special place she likes to sit and enjoy creation? I like to add neat little yard ornaments in my special place that my son built for me ~ my peaceful place, especially when the busyness of the day on the farm settles down.

I love a pretty apron and have a collection hanging in my kitchen. It is nice to keep your clothes clean, but it is something more…it brings back memories of days long ago, when everyone wore aprons. I still have the special apron Mom made me when I was little and I would wear it when I helped her.
