Everyday is a gift. We often forget that in the hustle and bustle of life. We we practice being grateful in situations, it can transform most things. It can really improve our emotions.
When we are grateful and we actively practice gratitude, it changes the way we see things. It will not transform the circumstances but we will be better able to cope and see things in a different light.

“You think this is just another day in your life. It’s not just another day. It’s the one day that is given to you today…. It’s the only gift that you have right now. And the only appropriate response is gratefulness. Maybe we would get this if we saw today as the first day of our life—or our last.”
To be grateful is a choice. It takes action on our part. It often does not come naturally to us to just be thankful and look for the good gifts.
[tweetthis]Make a choice and transform today[/tweetthis]
- Look for the gifts around you ~ Take time to “smell the roses”. Slow down, look around at all the good gifts that you have been given. Sometimes that means just watching the clouds roll by and listening to the birds sing.
- Make a choice to enjoy them ~ We truly live in a hustle bustle day where we have to fight to have a simple life. We have to make a choice to enjoy the beauty around us and to stop and soak it in.
- Express gratitude ~ verbally or in a journal. There is just something about writing down what you are grateful for in a journal. When you write things, it helps to solidify them in your heart and mind.
- Share the gift of gratitude with others ~ let others know that you are filled with gratitude. It can change someone’s day and bring a smile to their face. A smile and a kind word can do wonders for others. And hopefully encourage them to start practicing gratitude.
