I pray that your day will be wonderful. I pray that it will be filled with joy. I pray that no matter what struggles you are facing or trials that you are going through will be a little less today.
Take some time today to reflect on what you are thankful for. What blessings do you see in your life? Focus on being grateful instead of all that is facing you. When you are being thankful, you can’t be thinking on all the trials. Focus on being thankful and finding joy.
Whether you are facing a trial and just experiencing normal everyday difficulties, I want to encourage you. You are special. You are unique. You are a special person, created by God.
He loves you. He created you in His image and He loved you enough to send His Son to die for you.
Remember…
- You are God’s masterpiece
- You are forgiven
- You are a new creature
- You are accepted in Christ
- You are strong in the Lord
- You are blessed
- You are loved with an everlasting love
- He will fight for you
- He will uphold you with His righteous right hand
Wow…such great promises!!
Don’t be discouraged, my friends. Oh, believe me…I know how easy it is to be discouraged and overwhelmed. It doesn’t have to come in huge trials and tragedies. Discouragement can come because you are sleep deprived caring for your precious newborn or meeting the everyday demands of life are just overwhelming.
I have been there…the sleepless nights, the overwhelm of doing daily things all the way to great trials that you never thought you would face, let alone survive. I had to learn to focus on being thankful for the good things. Find joy in small steps and accomplishments. Most importantly, I had to rely on the One who loved me and cared for me.
Life is not easy…if you have lived long enough, you have discovered this. When we go through struggles and trials, we are growing and learning. We are better able to understand and help someone else who will one day walk that path. If you have never struggled, you would not know how they feel or how to help them on their journey.
Remember my friends, you are loved. You are created for a unique purpose. You are special.
