Life is busy~ right? It will only get busier from now until the New Year. Meals are some of the hardest things to stay on track with when life goes full speed.
My friend Stacy from Stacy Makes Cents has released a brand new cookbook of semi whole foods crock pot recipes. Love the name…Crock On: A Semi-Whole Foods Slow Cooker Cookbook. Don’t ya’ll just love her? I enjoyed meeting her at Allume. She is a sweet gal and I am blessed to a fellow southern gal. 🙂
I was asked to review a recipe from her new book and let me tell you…it was DELICIOUS!! Stacy’s recipes never disappoint!! Chicken Tetrazzini was so yummy and easy. It was a HUGE hit in my family. This is one of my new comfort foods. I hope you will get the book and check it out!
I love the fact that the recipes are simple and healthy but don’t have weird ingredients that you can’t even pronounce, let alone find. I am a semi-real food girl, with aspirations of doing better, but this is where I am. I suspect lots of you are.
I love the substitution page she includes for ingredients…you can try to be as healthy as you can, but sometimes you don’t have what you need. Or perhaps you haven’t made it that far in your real food journey.
I love that I will have lots of easy recipes for the holiday season…40 new recipes in fact. In fact, I am thinking I could keep several crockpots going at the same time. Soups, Sandwiches and Wraps, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, Desserts… I think I am going to fall back in love with my slow cookers. 🙂
Don’t these dishes look yummy??
Buffalo Joes
Pineapple Pork Loin
There are lots more yummy recipes where these came from!!
Generous Stacy is sharing one of her recipes with you: Cheesy Sausage Potatoes
