We’ve been celebrating with doing Truth in the Tinsel, watching our favorite Christmas movies, we went to a candle making party and a cookie decorating party with friends. 🙂
This is great! I’m sure this is going to brighten someone’s Christmas!
I have tried to enter the $400 contest but cleaning on come up with errors
We are celebrating the advent. It is so much fun and puts the focus back on Jesus.
No family here this year, so I plan to celebrate by checking out other people’s pretty lights and decorations and having quiet evenings at home 🙂
We are going to celebrate with family we haven’t seen in awhile! 🙂
Well, we have my son’s 13th birthday on the 20th! Then my parents are coming in for Christmas. It’s a busy month! 🙂
We are really struggling to celebrate as a family this year. We have a son in the hospital 4 hours from home and I have been spending time there. Looks like we all will be joining him there for Christmas day, so we are praying how to celebrate and make it special.
We are going to celebrate by being traditional with a tree and lights and gingerbread houses and cookies and family.
It will be a simple Christmas with immediate family this year. We will be watching our favorite Christmas movies, attending worship, and making lots of yummy goodies to share.
We celebrate December with our 24 days of giving and Star on the Shelf! 🙂
We are getting very late start this year, but hopefully with a small tree, a shortened Advent project and devotional and a Christmas Eve candle light service.
What a kind idea to help someone during the holidays!
We plan to celebrate with several family members over the holidays. Also, having friends over for fellowship throughout December. Lastly, by sending out Christ centered Christmas cards.
Christmas celebrations with my kids and with extended family including family coming from out of town!
We’ll be celebrating at home with just our immediate family on Christmas day, and then traveling to my brother’s house to celebrate with extended family on the 27th.
My brother has been in the military and is finally coming home this Christmas!
I’m celebrating by going on a mission trip to China.
Our preparations are always gradual. We have placed our homemade pine cone garland on the mantel as well as Christmas cards we’ve received. We hope to cut down our tree this weekend when our oldest comes home from college as well as take our Christmas card family photo. We will decorate the tree this coming week and mail out cards. We enjoy our immediate family on Christmas Eve with candlelight Communion at church. Our time of celebration will be with extended family by traveling to my home town on Christmas Day after sharing our gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh at home that morning.
I will be celebrating with lots of gatherings with family & friends. We will also be serving in our local community by participating in our local Council on Aging’s Senior Angel Tree program (adopting seniors, purchasing gifts for them, and even delivering many gifts to the seniors in our community), caroling to many throughout the community, volunteering at Operation Christmas Child, and helping with our local Board of Disabilities’ homes for adults (again adopting some of these wonderful people for Christmas).
All the family will be coming to our house to celebrate Christmas and I’m very excited to have them all home!
My mom and stepfather are coming to our house this year for Christmas. We open a game gift on Christmas Eve and play till midnight mass. Christmas morning, I get up early and pop in the oven the monkey bread that I made the night before and make coffee. Then I plug in the Christmas tree and start waking people up. Nice having a teen who likes to sleep in…even as a child, she wasn’t an early riser!
We’ll be with family for Christmas and the whole month we’re celebrating Jesus!
We are doing an advent lego challenge each day as well as visiting friends and relatives with our newest blessing
Just our immediate family this year. We’ll look at Christmas lights around the neighborhood on Christmas Eve, watch some movies and just relax and have fun!
This Christmas, I am cooking dinner for my family and my brother-in-law and his family. Already we have been to see The Nutcracker ballet. This Saturday night, my family and I are going to see Little Women on stage through tickets I won. It has been an enjoyable season so far!
We plan to celebrate with attending a few parties with friends and at church and just spending time at home with family.
Christmas Eve we will be going to my Mom’s for dinner. Christmas morning I will be having a Christmas breakfast for my husband and kids. Christmas Day we will be going to my husband’s Mother’s for dinner.
I plan to shut in and spend as much time as possible praying, connecting with God and nurturing my family!
We decorate the house, have an advent wreath, we bake and wrap gifts and try to visit with friends and family as much as possible.
We’re participating in our church’s Christmas program, then going to Grandma’s house. 🙂
between extended family, church, and our involvement in our church school (yes, I got on the list for hot lunch the last day before vacation!) celebrating Christmas is always busy enough without having to add the fact that we moved a few weeks ago, so boxes are the new Christmas decorations right now… let’s just say that all low-key things will be high on the list and thieves diffusing constantly! I’m hoping for some spare reading time… is that too much to ask at this stage of life?! 🙂
We celebrate with family. This year we are really trying to focus on the real meaning of Christmas rather than the material aspect.
We celebrate by being with family.
We are going to Maine to celebrate with my extended family who has not met our 18 month old daughter yet.
We celebrate on Christmas Day making perogi and enjoying spending time together.
We are keeping it minimal at home this year. We visited Disneyland with friends to enjoy the Christmas decorations, and are exploring the lights and displays that various businesses around Las Vegas put up.
Hopefully quiet–just family. So far it looks like it will be this way.
We celebrate the birth of Christ with the Advent wreath and readings nightly, my daughter’s Christmas concert, out-of-town family stay with us the last two weeks and a big family celebration Christmas Day. Can’t beat it!
We are celebrating by being together with family. We are reading Ann Voskamp’s Advent book this season, praying and reaching out to others. It is special for us to be together as my husband has been working out of state for 4mths. now and we are trying to sell a home and relocate. There will be many home made gifts under the tree this year. Those are the ones that seem to make the most memories any how! So thankful for Jesus and all he did for us!
I’ll be spending time with my family that I only see once or twice a year. Looking forward to celebrating together!
We celebrate by having an Advent wreath on the dining room table that we light nightly while we do a Lego Advent Challenge. This makes Advent exciting for both my 7yo and 14yo. We do a whole lot of baking and Christmas movie watching. And we always get together with extended family and have a lot of laughs together.
Two of my kiddos have birthdays in December. So I out off the Christmas season until their birthdays are past. Then we get our tree and let the season begin! My mom also has a December birthday. So I spend a lot of time on Amazon looking for gifts. It’s not easy!
We will be celebrating quietly at home. We are happy that Christmas is going to fall at the end of my husband’s first chemo cycle, so he will be feeling more like himself. Sadly he will be spending the next week in the hospital for his second cycle, so we are just enjoying the time we have together. We’ll have plenty of years to make up for not being able to spend new years together once he is cancer free. ^_^
I have been playing secret santa for some kids in our community.
I plan to spend Christmas at home with my family.
We celebrate before, during and after for our Christmas fun. Christmas Sunday night our church choir has a program of special music. Christmas Eve we annually go to a friends open house party. Christmas Day our immediate family celebrates at home with opening of gifts and then later in the day visit other family for more celebrating!
Taking some time off from school, focus on family and have some fun 🙂
Spending time with family and friends. Wishing those that live so far away could be here with us.
We began our December celebrating on the third, our son’s twenty-second birthday. We continued with decorating the tree and baking cookies. On Christmas Eve, we’ll have a small party with some goodies, then open our gifts. Christmas Day we have our dinner. 🙂
We host Christmas dinner and always spend Christmas with our family.
We are celebrating very traditionally, with a tree, presents and lots of God food. We will be putting our main focus on Jesus, because He is the reason for the season!
we have lost my kids’ father this past February. We are enjoying moments with family, friends and loved ones each time we are together. Celebrating life through loss. God is so good!
Plan to enjoy spending time with my family
We read an advent devotional every night. This year by John Piper. We read favorite Christmas stories,
decorate house and tree, bake, sing, look at lights. Lots of family tradition!
We try to celebrate keeping a focus on the Lord and what He has done for us! Thanks!
Right now we are celebrating Advent. Starting December 24, we will celebrate Christmas until January 7.
We spend December celebrating with some family birthdays and also doing advent calendars. Decorating the house, backing cookies and doing festive Christmas activities are also part of the whole month celebration.
I think the biggest thing we do to celebrate in December is to pray for family and friends that don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I pray fervently because my heart hurts so much for all my loved ones that I know are heading down the path to hell. Your prayers for my family and friends would be greatly appreciated. I have so many.
We will celebrate Christmas Day with our kids here at home. We went to a Bethlehem Marketplace at a local church, the kids love that. We went to our town’s Christmas tree lighting as well, and will probably go look at lights one evening. Fun times!
We have been celebrating this holiday seasons attending weddings. We have had four and one more to go. We will travel to be with my family over Christmas. The only gift my mom wants 🙂 This gift card would be such a blessing. Thank you for the chance to win. Merry Christmas!!!
We celebrate with family,go to church and then enjoy fellowship with family and delicious foods.
I will be celebrating with my family doing fun activities like zip lining, going to the beach and visiting family. Of course we will enjoy some good home cooked dishes.
Hannukah celebrations with my friends and family begin tomorrow evening. I love being at home to light the candles and say the blessings….remembering and thanking G-d for His protection and provision.
We are celebrating this December by spending a lot of time with church family.
We are blessed to have my mom and stepfather driving over for Christmas…before and after!
We love celebrating with our church family- singing carols each week when we meet together. There will also be some low-key family gathering with immediate family. We want to stay focused on the reason why Christmas even is on the calendar.
We are celebrating pretty simply – Christmas tree and stockings, presents for the kids, church and talking about Jesus, and visiting family. 🙂
LOL
We are celebrating simply. 3 small gifts and fun times with family and friends
We celebrate together as a family on Christmas Eve. Our month is pretty quiet other than that.
A nice summer celebration here. A relaxing lead up to Christmas, swimming, barbecues, more swimming. Church, giving out candy canes to people who are working
We plan to celebrate by spending time with our family and friends.
We also have annually downsized the amount of gifts and increased our time together in the Word. Teaching little ones the real meaning of the season is such a privilege and a great responsibility! We love this season; meaning both Christmastime and the one that we are in with our children in the home. 🙂
Merry Christmas! We are celebrating at my daughters’ home this year! We will have a meal, open gifts and play games! This year it will be different as we always have had our celebration at our house! I am so far behind on shopping, cookie making and decorating that i think I will enjoy having it somewhere else!
We are going to visit my family. We usually live to far away, nut this year we actually live within driving distance. I love sharing the holidays with them.
I am celebrating by going to family and friends houses for dinners and parties.
We are going to attend the Christmas Eve service at our church followed by a light meal at home created by my beautiful daughter. Then we will read the Christmas story hang the stockings and off to bed with the littles Merry Christmas!!
